Make sure your full face is visible, without glasses, a cap or accessories; find a well-lit spot, clean the camera lens and try again. If it keeps failing, contact your institution's help desk to have your registration validated manually.

What do I do if it doesn't recognize my ID photo?

Try using another document (passport or driver's license), take the photo in good lighting with a clean camera. If the image is still rejected, wait for manual validation from your institution — you'll receive a notification when it's approved.

Do I have to register before every exam?

Accepted Answer

No. Biometric registration is done only once. Once approved, you access each exam directly without re-registering your identity or document.

How do I change my information if I made a mistake in registration?

Contact your institution's help desk (not Klarway directly) and indicate which piece of information you want to change. The academic team authorizes the change and we process it on our end.

Where can I see my registration status?

Log in to Klarway through your institution and open "Klarway Registration", in the light-blue bar at the bottom right. You'll see one of three statuses: Approved (you can take the exam), Under review (pending manual validation), or Rejected (with the reason and how to fix it).

My antivirus is blocking Klarway, what do I do?

Accepted Answer

Klarway needs access to the camera, microphone and system processes. You need to create an exception for the app in your antivirus. We have step-by-step guides for Avast, Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky and Windows Defender in the external help center.

What are the minimum technical requirements?

A stable internet connection, a working webcam, a microphone, and a supported operating system: Windows 10+ or macOS 11+. For the extension you need an updated version of Chrome. Before installing, uninstall virtual cameras and close any virtual machines.

My exam was interrupted, what do I do?

Accepted Answer

Contact your institution immediately — they are the only ones who can manage the resolution. Klarway retains the video, audio and report up to that point; your institution decides whether to allow you to resume or repeat the assessment.
