Types of proctoring

1. Live proctoring

2. Automated proctoring
An artificial intelligence system analyses the student's behaviour during the exam and generates incident reports. It does not require real-time human supervision and is highly scalable.

3. Record and review proctoring
The exam is recorded and then reviewed by human supervisors. It combines the advantages of automation with human judgement, although feedback arrives with a delay.

4. Application proctoring (lockdown)
An application blocks the student's access to other programmes, tabs or websites during the exam. It is a technical solution that controls the digital environment without the need for a camera.
